Default For some reason can't locate these wires in my manual!

These are the last wires I gotta figure out before I can try to start it! I'm almost there but can't find anything on them. Please help!!

This comes out of the starter wire harness. The black one looks like a ground but splices off to that black connection. The blue I have no idea!

This green wire with white or yellow tracer comes out of the big harness from the fuse box. It is the only wire that is coming out of the harness under the engine the rest goes up to the rach filter and wiper motor etc.. Etc..

I have no idea where my harness is for my egr soleniod there are no more wires!! The only thing close are the ones for the smog pump thingys. But they aren't the right color.

This is a ground cable coming out of the same harness as the hood light connector. I think it also connects with the alternator ground but not sure.

I have no idea what this is?

Hey just got off the phone with a kind man who talked me though where the wires go. The only thing I don't understand is the blue and black wires that are in the starter harness. It goes to a temp switch. I already have the water temp switch on and the aux fan temp switch. So what is this other temp switch look like and what is it reading? It goes in this big hole I have been wondering what it was for.

The temp switch hole. But what does it look like since two wires connect to it. And what temp is it reading.

I believe what you are looking at/for is the ESC knock sensor.

edit: I take that back, if it's not the head, but lower on the block it is "N5 Engine Temp. Sensor (gage overheat)"

It's not the knock sensor. Do you have pic of this sensor? It should have two wires coming out of it and one is blue.

1982 CORVETTE AUXILIARY FAN

DESCRIPTION
Current is supplied to the auxiliary fan motor through a 30 amp. circuit breaker located in the fuse panel. The fan motor is controlled by an engine temperature switch located at the rear of the right hand cylinder head. When engine temperature reaches approximately 238 degrees F, the engine temperature switch will close and the fan motor will operate to provide supplementary air flow in addition to that supplied by the engine cooling fan. When engine temperature decreases to approximately 201 degrees F, the engine temperature switch will open and current will no longer be supplied to the fan motor. The fan motor will only operate when the ignition switch is in the ``Run'' position.

PCM temp sensor tells PCM what engine temp is so PCM can control temp dependent systems(fuel injection, emissions system, etc). It is not a switch, it is a variable reluctance sensor. Internal resistance of sensor changes with temp which in turn changes voltage value to PCM. The value of input voltage to PCM is how PCM determines what the engine temp is. Sensor resistance is high when engine is cold and low resistance when engine is warm.

Only part number I come up with that LOOKS like that switch is a Wells part# SW575. BUT, I don't know if that's the right one for your vette.
