What is the best way to clean you gas tank?
i have a 1981 corvette. i need to clean out my gas tank, but don't know how. what would be the best way to approach this job?

it depends on what is in there.
dried gas? take the tank out
i'd use carb cleaner, like 1 gallon
then a pressure washer
then dry it in the sun with a fan

Yeah, if ya wanna do it right, ya gotta remove the tank anyway, so ya might as well just shell out a few bucks and get a new one, man.

I had a '67 Camaro , tried to clean the tank without removing it 
Lesson learned > pull the tank and do it right ! or Replace it
ps> really need to check out the fuel sock in the tank too while your there , you can get the tank fairly clean , but if the sock is trashed its all for naught !
