Default Sombraro replacement

I pulled the cross member, what a mess. The Sombrao was complete rusted through on one side and not much better on the other. I think I am going to weld new ones maybe even relace the gusset. Anyone have any thoughts or has done this. Your pointers would be appreciated. Jack

Do only one at a time. There are no welding guides for placment. You will need to use the Diff x-member as a guide. Make sure the x member is lined up with the frame x member before welding. Then do the other sombrero. The centerline of the sombrero need to match the centerline of the diff x member or the rubber bushings will fight each other and in a few yrs the diff x member will be difficult to remove.
