Oil Pressure Fitting Leaking
I'm not sure why my last oil change caused this to really flare up, maybe its just the temperature changes. I have a terrible leak coming out of the oil pressure fitting on the block, next to the distributor. The car is a '72 350 and the line looks pretty new, perhaps a previous owner replaced it.
I cleaned all around the fitting to verify the source, and as soon as I fired up the otherwise cold motor a small pool quickly built around the base of the fitting. What are some things I should be looking for to ensure I get a better seal?

Try tightening first. Then you will probably have to remove the line and cut a piece off and reinstall using a new ferrule.
Here is some more info about the line.

Hi N,
Remember there are 2 things to tighten. The fitting in the block AND the nut that seats the ferrule that Roger mentioned.
Regards,
Alan
