Long 27 spline 1310 trans slip yoke for Corvette?
The TH350-700R4-4L60E can all use the same slip yoke: 27spline with 1.5 OD shaft.
Our C3s with 1310 driveshaft U-joints all use a 5.5 inch length yoke. My 82 with 700R4 has the 27 spline shaft and 5.5 inch length yoke.
I assume GM made these yokes with removable caps so you could get the driveshaft on/off due to the interference of the frame at the rear differential. I cant see how the driveshaft could be installed with the tranny side U-joint and yoke already on if you were to use a 1 piece yoke with no end caps.
For my 4L60E install, I lost about an inch of spline engagement.
Does anyone make a longer 27 spline 1310 slip yoke with removable caps?

Yep. I thought I could try to get away easy, but in order to do it right, I need to do a longer driveshaft.
That's the writing on the wall. Nothing money doesn't fix!

Hey Brent - I think you're best option is to pick up a TH350 driveshaft and have it shortened. I had to do this then i converted my 81 to the TCI 700R4. The shop only charged me $75 to cut down and rebalance my TH350 driveshaft for reuse with the 700R4. been rock solid for 8+ yrs.............
