Shouldn't you start with a vette first, then the engine update? What year will you be looking for?

I get 18 to 20 mpg... Depending on how & where I'm driving.

Great in an automatic car right out of the box. If you manually shift, you may want to change the cam to get the HP and torque where you want it.

18-20 mpg sounds *great* to me. What transmission are you running? Is that on the highway or in the city?

... Super T-10 with a 3.36 rear end. I actually got right at 21 on a road trip of about 300 miles, round trip. The 18 to 20 is mostly highway... Say 75% highway driving at 55 to 60 mph.

No need to change the cam in a Manual car. I too have a ZZ4 I dont know about my gas milage but it's pretty good I'd guess I'm gotting around 18mpg or so, but I have my foot stuffed into it alot! :D

As far as performance the motor has a great power band. My best passes down the qtr mile netted 13.3 @ 103. I've had trap speeds as high as 106 by short shifting - but all the et's were in the 13.5-13.7 range.

All in all it's a great engine right out of the box. Budget about 4100-4500 to stick one in between the fenders! :yesnod:

So why do people not like '68's anyway? I know, can't stand keys on the dash?
I put in gas when it says "E" on the gauge. I'd guess about 15 but I have 3.70's and 255 40x17's giving a overall gear ratio of 3.82 to 1. Also I have a bad attitude while driving anywhere near cars with coffee can exhaust pipes.
