1969 350 oil leak
I have a 350/350 and it has leaked since I got it. I have changed the valve covers and oil pan gaskets with the Fel-pro gaskets, yes the good ones. They are great but the leak persists. It is in the back left drivers side corner of the oil pan. It is not coming down the back of the engine though. The rear main seal is dry all the way around and the flywheel is dry. I have added RTV to the threads of the oil pan bolts and still leaks in the garage. Is there an o-ring between the dip stick tube and the block? Nothing is running down the side of the tube from the top of the stick. That seems to be the only location that is wet above the oil pan. Nothing else is wet. Other wise the only idea I have is something wrong with the oil pan. Any ideas!!!

Does the oil pan have the metal reinforcement in that corner?

Are you over-tightening the bolts maybe? I did that and kept getting a leak and it was just too much torque in the bolts. I did the same thing on valve covers. It's a fine line. Good luck.
