Default 16 inch wheels

I have searched the forum for info on 16 inch wheels, but it seems like most are going with 17 inch wheels mostly due to a larger tire selection.
I found these 16 inch Torque Thrust wheels in a local ad and was wondering how they would fit.. I know that I need a 4 inch backspace, but that is with an 8 inch wide wheel.. This is a staggered set up... 16x 7 in front and 16 x 8 in the rear.. What effect will this have on the front? will it look "out of place" ? Does anyone have pics of this set up? I am not sure what size tires are on the wheels, but he said both have about 500 miles on them..The only reason I would go with this setup is because he is selling all 4 wheels and tires for around $800.. here is how the ad reads..
Staggered setup 16" American Racing Wheels for GM 5x4.75 bolt pattern
16x7, 4" backspace
16x8, 4" backspace
Tires are INCLUDED!
"old school" Custom American Racing billet center caps INCLUDED!

One of the difficulties with C-3's is the large brake caliper, which protrudes outward. This can interfere with many wheels. You need to check this.

I'm sure you have your reasons, but why would you want 7" fronts?

The BS is not affected by overall width.

Tire age can be a larger concern than total mileage.

And, yes, some wheels do interfere with C3 calipers.

The back space is independant of the wheel width. With the same back space, the wider wheel will stick out further than the narrower wheel.

About the only thing you can do to see if they fit is to try them on the car. You could buy the wheels and try them. If they don't fit, put them back up for sale.
