I did find the Corvette Action Center for our '73's but it may not have the diagrams - worth a look anyway.

As for my car, check this older post I did...
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c3-t...ge-set-up.html
I ended up using a slightly shorter (maybe 1") p/s belt as the stock length had my p/s pump all the way out to the stops with too much slack remaining -causing a horrible squeal. Also, my car came to me with no AIR pump and no idler pulley in its place. The a/c compressor belt connects directly to the water pump pulley. Yep - no idler pulley came on my car despite the drawings that may show one. You'll have to use a shorter a/c belt than may be called for but just go to the parts store and take a few of graduated lengths out to your car. Push your a/c compressor in all the way and use the belt that lets you connect it to the water pump pulley but still have maybe half the travel left in rotating the compressor outward to snug up the belt.

You might have to take some measurements, and go to you local belt supplier and pick a few that are close. Some adjustment may make them work, or take them back, return them for a size up or done, till something fits. Good luck.

Thanks alot for your link to the '71 454 belt pictures and part numbers, I'm getting a barn find that has been sitting since 1988 back on the road and it had one long Gates belt stretched from the crank to power steering to alternator to water pump. Now with your help I can do it right. Thanks again!
