Test pipe

I just was rumaging in my garage for my "backup" test pipe for my 78 that I had never used-bought it as insurance in case the one I was using rusted out- and I couldn't get another one. Once I put on the true duals when the car was 25 years old and exempt from emissions inspection, I threw it out as I remember. Bought it in the 80's-too bad. I would have given it to you!

should be a plug ..1" in the bottom of the converter ...you can remove it and dump out all the catalyst to help somewhat ..
I removed mine and just got a friend thats a Welder take a torch and gutted out the insides so its just a shell now, and put it back on
or go to a muffler shop and let them make you one ? reckon it should only cost around $ 25 ???

Probably cannot find one to buy. It is illegal to make or sell Catalytic Converter "test pipes". There is a huge fine if a shop gets caught doing so. You will have to do it yourself I imagine. Unless the car came in on a trailer with no tag and was for autocross use only........
