zz4 intake on an L-48
will this work? I found out my truck has a L-48 out of a '76 Vette. I am wanting to change the intake, cam and carb, and cross my fingers that the crank is good enough. I dont know what the internals are on the engine, which is why I want to make some changes. All I do know is the block and heads and the Olds Q-jet. ideally, I would like to have the zz4 intake, a comp 268 cam, and a Q-jet off a '70 or so 350 hp motor.....which probably wont happen

The ZZ3 / ZZ4 intake manifold (GM #10185063) should fit under your L-48 1976 hood using a stock Q-Jet & Stock Air cleaner assy.
I have the ZZ4 manifold (Q-Jet / Air Cleaner) L-48 1978 set up.
These two cars are almost identical - thus it should fit & work nicely.

Compare gm 10185063 to edelbrock 3701 ... simply a low-rise "performer" with EGR ... neither one are anything special. If the L48 powers a full size truck, there's probably room for a taller intake.
