Default Added some new little things ( pics )...

I replaced my stock throttle cable and housing with this one, made by Lokar :

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/LO...000U/?rtype=10

It works very smoothly now.

I also made and replaced the two Edelbrock breathers top covers with these ( aluminum 6061T6 cover and A4 SS TIG welded 45° angled pipes ), so now the blow-by gases go inside the air filter :

Somebody asked me a question yesterday. As this might be of interest to some, I decided to post the answer here too :

How did you get the clevis end of the Lokar cable to work with your gas pedal?

Answer :

The Lokar clevis end will not fit the stock corvette gas pedal. I didn't use it.
As you likely know, the top of the gas pedal arm has just a large hole with a small nylon part in it to arrest the small metal sphere at the end of the cable.
The problem is that this ball is a bit smaller on the Lokar's cable than it is on the original cable.
I'm not sure if it's a real issue or not, but I made a little and thin aluminum part on my lathe,
which has the same shape and dimensions as the Lokar's part, but fits the stock nylon arrestor on the other side.
It looks like a conical washer, and it would be possible to make one from a simple washer with a hammer, a punch and a piece of wood.
The goal is just that the ball won't go through the hole in the nylon part, so it's not rocket science...
Here are a few pictures I took this morning to show you what I'm speaking about ( not really easy to aim with a camera under the dashboard ).
I slightly pulled the gas pedal to take the three last pictures showing the special washer.

Hope this helps.

I need a new ait filter. What kind to you have? Will it work with a L-82 hood? I have a 76 sm 350 with an Edelbrock carb.

I have a Trans Dapt Performance triangular air filter with a K&N ( round 15" diameter x 3" height ) filter element. You can't go wrong Trans Dapt only sells one model with this shape.
The base has been dropped by 1.5" instead of 1" and I just have 1/3" clearance between the top of the air filter and the L-82 hood.
As far as I know, most Edelbrock carbs have a taller profile than Holleys, so I'm not sure it would fit your application, except maybe with a 2" air filter element instead of 3".
Of course, this also depends on the height of your intake manifold. Mine is a single plane Holley Street Dominator ( same height as an Edelbrock Performer RPM )
It would probably be OK with a low profile dual plane manifold and an Edelbrock carb.

More informations and pictures about the making-of there :

Have you considered down leg boosters or even annular?

Very nice setup....I wish mine looked as nice.

I did happen to notice that you have only one throttle return spring....you may want to consider a second spring as a safety backup. You can get the spring within a spring.....similar to what GM used on Qjets.

What is your ci and normal shift points? I am pro annular discharge if you can take the loss of 25-35 cfm hit. Or down leg for any vehicle that is operated over wide variety of throttle openings

The engine is a 350. Best shift points are between 5600 and 6000 RPM.
The carb is a Holley 0-4776S ( 600 cfm ) double pumper with a milled choke tower and a stubstack. I suppose it should be 620 or 630 cfm rated now. Throttle response is great.
I didn't know annular discharge boosters could make the carb lose so many cfm.
As my carb is already on the small size side, what would be the best option in your opinion ? I'm not sure that the boosters can be removed and changed on this carb...
