Default Need help decoding my BUILD SHEET!! :)

I was changing out my sending unit tonight, and since I had the tire carrier off I decided to reach up and see if my build sheet was still on top of the gas tank -- sure enough it WAS!

The bad news is that the paper was so old and brittle, it started falling apart the minute I touched it. Also, the glue was still holding on so a big section in the center didn't come off.

The GOOD news is that I was able to assemble 80% of it (thanks to a high-res scanner and some time in Photoshop) and the paper and ink was quite legible. Actually, it was in really nice shape.

I wrote out what was in every box (those are the numbers). The sections in parenthasis () I'm not sure about, so I'm guessing.

I'm hoping some of the experts here can help me decode what I have, or at least fill in some of the (?) areas. Thanks in advance. Sorry for the long post but here goes:

Could you post a picture of the build sheet. I have not seen one for a 73 and would like to recreate one for my 73. I know, or I think I know, the options and the original dealer. If you could an e-mail of the picture would be even better.

Cool! where on the tank did you find it? I think that mine is long gone:(
The following info is from Vette Vues Fact Book 1973-1977 M.F. Dobbins.
4. CLA= L48 w/Turbo Hydra-matic trans
5. CK= Base engine Auto 17,927 produced
6. Axle # AW=3.08 ratio
9. Vin 1Z37=Coupe, J=Base Eng. 3=1973, S= St. Louis
box 24 is combined w/ 9 should have DP Seq. # rest of vin???
11. AW=3.08
76. 1Yz37= Corvette Sport Coupe 25,521 produced
77. 400=Blk Vinyl
79. (9) 14 Corvette Silver Metallic
Thats all I can interpret.
You should buy this book, it is a good one.
I will have to meet you someday since we have the same car, well, almost!

Corellian, do you have your Corvette insured??? I don't think I'd posted the "cut" of the keys. Now that everyone on the Internet is able to see what key opens your doors and starts your car you may want to get them changed. Oops to late, I just made a set, now just exactly did you say you lived???

Congrates on the build sheet! I have mine too, we could compare some weekend that you have free. Mine came off intact, but severly wrinkled where the glue was...and the scanner thing did show everything necessary.

Here's the build sheet from behind the dash from my 1970:

There are a bunch of other '70 build sheets here: http://corvetteforum.net/c3/1970registry/JobNo.html

My buildsheet is REALLY big. You can download a smaller version of it here

Silver 73 -- Thanks for the info on the parts I'm missing!

Pual -- Thanks for the advice about the keys. I removed them, but I don't think the numbers are right anyway since I can barely read them.
