Secondary springs for Holleys?????????
The diaphragms for the secondary carbs on a tri-power are physically much larger than the 4 barrel secondary diaphragm. Performance improvements sold me a spring kit that was holley generic.
Though the springs physically fit, the softer the spring I use on my tri-power, the stronger the car feels. Down side, big bog at low rpm.
I think I need springs with a completely different profile than the 4 barrel.
The springs need to begin to open later and need to be fully open sooner.
Can anyone confirm whether or not the tri-power springs are the same or are they a a different animal?
My set up is a stock 69 tri-power.
Thanks, Rog.

Holley # 20-13 is the kit. Routine secondary tuning is to run the softest springs (always the same rating in both secondaries) you can which don't bog. You have verified your ignition system is 100% up to snuff, right? If you need any Renew Kits I've still got a few NOS, btw.
