Default Batwing diff cover on iron diff?

I have seen posts where people installed the aluminum Dana differential and batwing from the 80-82 in a pre-80 C3. I was wondering if the aluminum batwing PN 14008656 would bolt directly to the iron Dana 36 of a 1973. I realize that custom brackets would need to be fabricated and welded to the frame. Would the existing spring and strut rod bracket fit the same?
Thanks
