77 Transmission Match ups
Does anyone know all the possible Transmission matchups to my 77 c3/stock 350 engine? I'm looking to change out to a 4 speed automatic. I am staying with the stock touring package and not really going the high performance route.
Also:
If I do rebuild the TH350/3 speed auto, what is the best overall touring torque convertor?
Also:
Is there a aftermarket overdrive package out there for the TH350?
Thanks,
c3tony

Look at the 200-4R tranny. It's supposed to be the easiest OD tranny to bolt up. The other OD that I know of is the 700R4, but it requires relocating the tranny coss member and shortening driveshaft. These are popular upgrades -- do a search on CF and you will get a lot of info about pro/con of each.

I have heard about the od upgrade for the th350 but i would rather go the 200/700r route.. I never heard anything good about that conversion..
