Stereo wiring question
I am fixing the wiring on my radio, I pulled it and I have been trying to find some schematics or color codes and havent been very lucky. Its a Pioneer KP-8500 it has 5 bare wires coming out, a 6 pin cable that appears to have never been used, a ground wire, and an antenna adapter box. The ones I have a question on are the 5 bare wires, which are green, grey, black, blue, and red. I know at least 3 of those are speaker, just not sure which ones go where.
Thanks,
Jay

Why not go to the Pioneer website and see if the schematic is on-line. If not, call a tech at Pioneer and ask for the color codes.

In general
Black - ground
Red - 12v hot all time
Green - 12v hot when key on
Blue - power antenia lead
But there are different ones out there, call the mfg to be sure

Pioneer website does not list a KP-8500! Are you sure about those numbers?
