For Every hour you Drive the C3 How many Hours do Spend Fixing It.
I must say that I have run out of stuff to do on the Vette The weather has been great in the Toronto area I am just crusing and crusing with zero down time.

damn...sorry..I needed that. I'd say for the 4 hours i've put on it.. I've also put about 11 months of work into it...If I get 1 mile down the road without something happening I'll have a plaque made for it and sell the damn car.. :lol:

I spent many hours fixing, improving, and tinkering over the winter.
Hopefully I have enough hours built up to be able to drive it this summer
with very little down time. Although i am not counting on it.
But then again working on it is half the fun of owning it . Right? :)

I spend more time cleaning it than I do driving it. Right now just waiting on a power steering hose though.

5 to 1 or 6 to 1 ratio is about right, I don't spent that much time fixing, its more like tinkering. I probally spend more time washing and waxing than driving.

I spend more time working on it then I do driving it. As my wife calls it after a stressful day at work she can always tell when I need garage time. She'll kick me to the garage so I can release some of the day to day stress. Rod

The reason I asked this question is : In my area there is a Vette shop ( great one by the way) which I take the vette when the job is too big and I asked the 2 shop owners if they drive vettes 1-drives a 90 ZR1 and the other drives a C4 I asked why not a C3 they said C3 are getting quite old now and are not very depenable most of them require a lot of up-keep. They also said we work on C3 allday we dont feel like fixen ours vettes. It has been said the worst maintained car is the one owned by a mechanic.

Maybe a 10:1 ratio.
I have daily driven it for the last 3 years. It's getting ornery right now, the brakes are squealing like a madman, and their is an incredibly annoying vibration coming in at low RPM, but other than that, it has not given me any crap. No dieseling, no pinging, no oil burning...
I'm just waiting for a new engine build.

My car has never broken, Well except for twice at the dragstrip, I've done a bunch of performance upgrades tho, but it has been dead reliable...
