Default Rear Trailing Arm Bushings Question

I am replacing all of the bushings on my 78 with kit from prothane. I have already removed the trailing arm and have burned off the old bushings but the retention sleeve has to be cut off.
The new kit simply has a flat washer, the new bushings, and a new center sleeve for the bolt to pass through. I am trying to figure out if I need to some how flare this washer and sleeve together. I don't really see how it is possible as the hole in the washer and sleeve are the same size and the extra metal wouldn't allow it to replicate what was on the car in the first place, but I have a hammer, screw driver, and a torch so...
How do i get there from here?

Just to let you know. If you have the trailing arms out you might want to have the rear wheel bearings done. It seems when the trailng arms come out and you bang them around, the bearings go bad. There is nothing worse than putting it back together and taking it all back apart again.Talking from experiance.
