No leak valve cover gaskets?

Here are the good Felpro
They come with spreaders that are longer than stock (black)
The really long spreaders are oem GM (on cover) from around 1980.
No probs with these at all.
If you find that nothing works, use Permatex Great Stuff (???). I use that on problem tranny pans immersed in oil with never a leak.

Mr Gasket makes one thats kind of a rubber coated steel, nicest one Ive ever used. Will NEVER leak and can be reused plenty. They fit absolutely perfect.
Fel Pros are good, these are the #$it. Oreillys has them.

Drifting
Motorhead, those Felpros shown by noonie and first links are the ones I'm using on my AFR's. I did grind a little radius trough at the rear corners so that the oil would not pool on the little ledge but even with cork they would still leak. These gaskets are perfect.

I've had motors you could run with valve covers off with high rail heads.
I found if you use studs and nuts
that gasket will sit perfect every time and eliminate the need for any sealant
Who cares about correct if it doesnt leak lol.
You never need sealant
Cork has never leaked (I used the thicker cork ones by Mr Gasket)
Now using a Mr Gasket which imo is the best ever. steel shim with some type of rubber coating. Fantastic, had them on and off 1/2 dozen times already.
Get rid of the nuts, use spreaders or get a valve cover with a thicker flange. Factory stamped stuff always tweaks easy.
