Nothing can help an old C3 A/C they work or they dont. If you truly want a reliable A/C system then replace with a new aftermarket system.

Hey Butch,
I've talked to one guy that did the swap, not sure if it made it any better, but may have helped getting his AC running again. I'm leaning that direction as well as a Sanden 508 compressor. I found a guy who can make custom hoses and the guy that cut out the pieces of T6 for my aluminum grill can make any bracket you want if it's 2D if mounting becomes a problem. The next month or two will be completing the fountain installation then back to the Corvette and the AC is my next project . . . and I'll be calling you.
I know you understand AC systems but did you buy the book "AC strategies for the 68-82 Vette"? It's a good book and I have it if you want to take a look. Call when you start working on yours, I might be able to learn a little and maybe even help out.
