Default 1979 Electronic door locks

Drivers side locks but does not unlock and passenger side unlocks doors but does not locks doors. Replaced wire harnesses and door switches and motor actuators.

Assuming your solenoids (actuators) are healthy and receiving power wehn told to then the most likely culprit is friction in the mechanical motion of the locks themselves, make sure the rods from the lock buttons in the arm rests to the actuators and locks is smooth and free of friction or grabbing by the door skin or anything else. Do they work with the door skins off? I'm guessing they do. It all has to be very free in there for it work properly.

Cheers, Dennis.

Had a similar problem with my 78 but cleaned all the linkages including the key lock mechanism with brake cleaner than lubricated the linkages. Its a good idea to test connections before reassembly of door panel. This article may help...
