Default 700 r4 governor adjustment stacked shift

ok ever since i put my 700 in ive always had very early shifts,it would be in overdrive by 35-40.Well now with the new pro torque convertor its worse ,im in overdrive by 25 mph.So i ordered a b&m governor kit and been making changes slowely,im now with a number 4 weight on one side and a red spring and a stock weight on other with a purple spring.1 st gear shifts at 25 2nd imediately goes into at 26 mph third 35-40 and over drive around 50-55.i need to extend 2nd gear more.Any ideas what i should do next heavier spring on the side i did red on.These are all part throttle shifts too wot im around 6200.

Are you sure your TV cable is adjusted properly? If it is set too 'low' you will get early shifts. And, if you go WOT with that condition, you'll quickly fry clutches.

Definitely sounds like the tv cable is too loose.

never got to put the guage on but did notice it wasnt in the same spot i had it so moved it to where it was previously and changed the lighter spring to slightly heavier and it was better 2nd gear at least waited 5 mph after 1st gear but still not right. And the shifts were firm again.I need to put the guage on it this week to be sure on pressures.
