Default 82 crossfire idle/vacuum problem 2nd ?

Hello
Ive been chasing vaccum lines all day with little luck. but i think ive found my problem. the 3/4" alum pipe that runs from the passenger side valve cover to the air cleaner has around 16-19 of vaccum. is that from a manifold gasket leak and is that whats causing my fast idle.
does that sound right?

That's just a breather tube. Crossfire engines have 2-3 things that must be done to get them right!
1) the plenum must be taken off and have the felpro gasket install to eliminate massive vac leak.
2) all vac lines must be checked and timing set after leaks are fix.
3) check ecm for error codes and if its all clear install a hypertec ECM prom makes it drive like a new car.
If you do those 3 things all other fixes will be easier to find and fix....IMHO

thanks for the respond.
when i bought the car last month the pre owner installed a hypertec.
the car runs great just high idle.
the breather tube just seems like it has a lot of vaccum,i can place my hand over the end and it suck very hard and the car starts to die ,is that normal for a breather tube?

It's the pipe going from the valve cover to the air cleaner housing ...right?
That should have almost no noticeable vacuum.
