Default 1974 a/c compressor conversion

I scored a set of JBA block huggers for my sm.block and want to run my a/c. I am thinking torward a Sanden compressor w/ Billet Specialties side mount brackets. Does anyone have a set-up done up like that or something simular? Pictures would be helpful. I want to stay awayfrom R4 compressors and reusing the old large compressor is not desirable for me.

Allen Grove looks good,I think 132r will fit the needs. I need to find Sanden 508 w/ the correct rear manifold for the factory lines. Thank you.

you can swap the rear heads on the sanden for bout $25 , real simple, hold on , I'll get you some info.
heres for the heads, I got mine from
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sanden-A-C-A...ac34bc&vxp=mtr
this place has the correct rear head for the factory hoses listed
http://www.nostalgicairparts.com/ac/...s-heads-19.php
gm pad
http://www.nostalgicairparts.com/air...ad-back-16.php
I used the allen grove for both sanden a/c and alt. they work great
the video for the head swap
http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j...-rH95tvzB_nWOA
if your going to run 134, a VIR eliminator is a good thing
http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j...rdpwTrJjNF7bsA
I'm not advertising for the places listed , just where I got my parts

just went thru this b.s.hope it helps
btw the allen grove brackets will clear 'tall fabricated valve covers' for both the alt. and a/c. and the belts they suggest are the ones that work.

Recommend the larger Sanden type compressor, 709, now known as SD4708. Model 4708 comes with the GM pad.
