Default Starter Motor wiring 1977 Corvette

From the plug to supply down to the starter motor I have wiring I have a red and white, a red , a purple and a black wire. Where do they connect to.

I have tried to research but can not find it anywhere. This is at the end of a five year project. Appreciate any help.

Cheers Rick

The small terminal goes to the S terminal, looks like yours is on the R terminal.

Well that would be hard. There is no R terminal on a 77 starter.
I would get under there with a test light and see if you have power to the purple wire when someone turns the switch for you. If not start checking that wiring.
