Default Frankenengine

I Have a 1979 C3 running a 1986 L98 TPI engine with aluminum heads, I do not trust the bottom end on the L98. I also have a GM crate engine 10066036 with bad heads, but a good bottom end, 160 compression on all eight cylinders. Would putting my aluminum heads, TPI fuel system, and computer controlled HEI, on the crate engine work? I imagine my compression ratio would be a lot higher. Would the cam work? Will my 700R4 bolt to it? Would this setup be good, bad, or ugly? The car will be used as a cruiser.

This seems to be the motor I have.

Will work fine but I would upgrade the cam to match your new compression.
