I found this place in FL that sells them below cost. I am not sure what shipping would cost you. I ended up getting mine through a local chevy dealer through a friend. Here is the link to Sam Taylor. http://www.samtaylor.com/special/PartsWebPage.htm

Yup, any local GM dealer should be able to order one for you. I got my from a local Chevy dealer below what Sallee-Chevrolet and Jim Pace were asking and I saved on shipping. http://www.sallee-chevrolet.com will tailor your ZZ4 to your application (in your case a Corvette) with a short water pump, flywheel instead of flexplate if you have a manual tranny etc.. They also make higher HP versions based on the ZZ4 short block. Call them and they will fix you up if that is what you want to do. Don't forget to tell them (Sallee-Chevrolet) that you want some ZZ4 stickers when you buy it. See my posts on this subject. Sallee also had a discussion board so you can ask them questions and get answers quickly.

My dad is going to buy on to put in his 78 Pace CAr because his engine is blown but he is going to buy it from Jegs at Jegs.com They have good prices and i think the ZZ4 from there has like 330 to 400Hp and all it needs is a carb and headers (i think) not to sure, may wanna check the website.

Hi neghbor!
Dobles in NH is a good place to start....no sales tax. I believe there is a dealer in Arlington that use to stock crate engines. Don't know if they still do....sorry I don't remember their name. Would you be doing the work yourself?

WOAH... ipswich.. thats really close by... i live in boxford.
no i wouldn't be doing the work myself, just because i don't have the tools, or know how and i have a place i trust to do the work. i have a 1980 firebird that i am selling... i started to do the work on that car, but it was just to much for a starter like me... i am a HUGE Vette enthusiast, but i don't have the skill to match :)
