Default Richmond 6-Spd Update

Update to my trans swap I did last year.I switched over from a TH350 auto to a Richmond 6spd.Didn't care for the cross-member I installed,it had to much movement while shifting gears and the cross member would flex when engaging the parking brake. This was most likely caused by my modification of the cross-member to clear the shifting rods.Installed a Gforce cross-member this weekend and it works perfectly! Had to just trim the mounting pad back a few inches and drill new holes for the trans mount. The exhaust pipes are close but does clear.Purchased the cross-member for the 700R4 trans...Link to part:http://www.crossmembers.com/shop/pro...roducts_id=113

You can modify your existing cross-member but I wanted more of a bolt-on solution and it looks great and cleans up the looks under the car.......
Oh & the Richmond trans is performing flawless..Sure beats that 3spd automatic...
Crossmember that was replaced:

Glad to read that your recent upgrades are working well for you - carb, trans and crossmember. What's next on your horizon?

Who made the previous x-member? PM is fine...

I'm not madly in love with mine. I can see the whole assembly move when I lift the e-brake... eek.

Awesome! I'm considering going with that crossmember this summer so I can run a new exhaust. I remember we talked about this a while back. Glad it worked out for you!

It's a great trans and works perfectly with the 3.08 rear gears. That first gear has some real gitteup for sure.Gear ratio's are spaced nicely.not to much rpm loss between shifts....
