Not sure what you mean by adjusting the forks. I ran mine through the gears before installing it and no adjustment was required, but I installed an AP TKO.

I guess I used the wrong terminology. Bikes are more my specialty, this vette is my hobby.
The shift linkage. You are supposed to put a little metal block under the shifter, and through the slots to hold the stick in neutral while you attach the linkage rods to the tranny.
This keeps the stick from moving and giving you a sloppy shift.
