Default Coolant level question

I have a question regarding coolant levels in my 79.

I filled up the engine through first the radiator, then the heater tap on top of the manifold and when water came out, then through furter filling throught one of the holes in the thermostat housing. Sealed it off and ran it. Doesn't seem to overheat. Thermostat has a setting of 180 °F.

However, what I find odd is that there is no or maybe an unnoticable amount of movement of the level in the overflow tank when heating up or cooling down.

Radiator cap is a new one with pressure rating of 15 psi. No leaks to be found anywhere and there is no head gasket leak.

I pulled off the radiator cap when it was all cooled of and the radiator is full to to cap.

Could there be something wrong here ?

If the radiator is full after complete cool down, I wouldn't worry about it.

The movement in my coolant tank is 1/4" or 6-7mm; hardly noticeable.
