What weight oil are you using ?

Pro
I'm currently using Joe Gibbs HR-2 - 10W-30 conventional oil until my engine is broken in at 500 miles.
After break-in I will probably switch to Joe Gibbs HR-4 10W-30 Synthetic, Brad Penn synthetic, or Red Line synthetic as recommended by my engine builder. A few extra dollars for the oil changes is okay by me as long as I know I am making a good choice to maintain my engine for the future.
JMHO.

Oil
Thought the link near the top was really good.
Basically, the guy was saying weight is second to flow the way I read it. Considering how many Ferrari's and other exotics he has, he's obviously done a lot of research. I'd be interested in knowing what his doctorate is in.
I especially like what he wrote about cold starting.
Anyway, I think I'll try the 5W-30 Mobil 1 at the next change.

Melting Slicks
10w-30 Valvoline (full roller engines,..middle of Texas, year round).
Unless you have poor oil pressure to start with, I don't see a reason for 40w or 50w oils. Plus these heavier oils would cost HP.
