Default Time to pick out an exhaust assembly!

Hey all, time to pick out an exhaust assembly for my '79. Anyone have any sample videos of their cars with their set up?

I went with a Magnaflow 16836 system. I have a '76 and that system is for a '74. My exhaust guy had to cut and trim it a bit. I think the '76 system included a cat.

I put in a Magnaflow system in my 73. I had to do some alterations for it to fit the 73 rear exhaust cutouts that you would not have to do. I did not go wit headers either.
It connects to the stock manifolds with 2 1/4" pipe and increases to 2 1/2" at the x-pipe.

My God, that sounds beautiful. That's my ideal sound, I personally am not fond of side-pipes through. I'll have to find another way to get it to sound that way.

If you want the sound of sidepipes but under car, go with stainless chambered exhaust from Stainless Works. They have complete system that connects to your stock exhaust manifolds.

I installed on a '69 L46 and I got compliments on the sound.

I just put in dual 2 1/2 inch pipes to stock style mufflers from corvette central ( missed the free shipping offer by 2 weeks)
Not crazy loud but awesome at WOT & the SOTP factor has greatly improved.
Freddy76 has a great thread that helped me a lot!!
Going to try and post this video... I've been having some issues with photo bucket

I am also looking for exhaust and it seems almost impossible to find reviews on systems for these cars.

I have SweetThunder sidepipes that sound nice. I know you said that you weren't looking for sidepipes, but they do also offer Chambered mufflers. http://www.sweet-thunder.com/chamber...html#stainless

Here's a video of mine. You can go straight to 18:45 in the video where I get on the throttle.

I love those displays, very 80's.

So I finally had it installed at a local place. Went with the pipes straight from the headers with nothing in between and kept the MagnaFlow mufflers I had inside. It doesn't roar as much as I would like but it's practically silent... when you close the windows.

Exhaust sound is like a favorite color. Lots of opinions.
If you want video link, let me know.
