Default The Duntov Corvette

This was a C3 project that failed. Zora Duntov had always wanted a turbocharged Corvette. ACI wanted to sell a custom Corvette. The problem was ACI and Duntov never really reached total agreement and the project went down in in flames. This is an example where rare does not mean valuable. The article also has a link to some good photos of a Duntov Corvette.

The article isn't on Facebook - it's on my blog. Use the link. My Facebook page is just some old race cars. Oh - the C3 is an old race car too. But the Duntov Corvette is strictly a street car.

There was a member on here about 7-8 years ago that had the turbo '80 duntov vette as his first C3. He sold it and bought a blue (dual white stripes I think) chrome bumper car, built it up and started racing in 1/4 mile. I've not seen him on here in quite a while. His blue vette is still pictured in the slide show on Van Steel's website.

I mention him as he would have info about it too. I recall his was white with red interior.

I would love to get one of these cars, valuable or not. It is a piece of history and Duntov is an idol of mine.
