Wiper Door repair
My formerly perfect wiper door has been damaged while in storage...does anyone know what kind of metal the door is made of and if welds are possible?
The damage is to the last 1/4" of the "tip" that finishes to the birdcage and door edge. It looks like there is also a threaded screw hole right where it cracked.
Thanks, Kevin

It's a soft metal of some type, try a local welder. Reconditioned doors are available but they are $300 to $400 plus you will have to paint it either way. Depending on how much is missing, can you mold the tip out of clay expoxy?
