Default Hushmat and Reflectix Pics (if you're interested)

Car was like an oven inside before. I'll let you know how the sound and heat is once I drive it awhile. Gotta get this alarm sorted out first. (posted in another thread)

BTW that's 1 pack of Hushmat (20 sheets I think it was) and two rolls of Reflectix from Home Depot. It takes 1 roll just to do the floor pans and part of another to do the transmission tunnel.

Looks good. Keep us posted as to the results. I really need to get this done and have been considering the various materials- hushmat, reflectix, etc...

Looks great.....I did the same thing top-to-bottom in my '36 pickup.

I can put my hand on any interior wall/ceiling/floor in the truck after driving for an hour in town (no A/C) and not feel any outside heat soaking through even with 2 cats under the floorboard.

I never have to run the A/C any higher than the low fan speed and the thermostat set on medium cool in Loo-z-anna summers (setting the Vintage Air on high will hurt your skin/fog-up the windows).

The '68 convertible is in the process of getting the "full treatment"....

Do It! Why not eliminate that "Easy Bake Oven"------You won't be sorry (and I even bought the Knock-off brand of foil-double-sided 3/8" thick mat).

Any thoughts on putting Lizard skin on both sides of the floor board to help with this?
