I have a 1982 and I just changed the dash harness and the starter wires I also changed the ignition switch and alternator and it still will not turn off I even disconnected the battery it still stayed on until I took out the fuse by the battery.. I am lost I tried just about everything does anyone have a clue as to where I can start..

The wires at the alternator 2-wire plug may be reversed, it will cause this symptom. Unplug the alternator and see if it turns off normally.
