Default need some help on part ID

can anyone help me with what this is. I think it is either the door buzzer or the buzzer for when the keys are left in the car. it hangs at the base of the steering column kinda right in front of the fuse box. I noticed that my break lights were not working and on an investigation found the fuse blown. I jumped the fuse just to see if it was a surge that popped it and when I did this piece sounded sick and the jumper sparked when I jumped the fuse. I removed this part and tried the jumper again with no spark and the break lights work so I think that this is bad. so if anyone can help with what it is or even a part # so I can see if I can find one... thanks in advance...

I found one at auto zone and replaced it, unfortunately that did not fix my problem. a little more troubleshooting led me to the horns, I unhooked them and my problem went away. so now i'm waiting on some new ones to come in to see if everything will work.. kinda weird cause I replaced the horns 3 or 4 yrs ago, they haven't been used much and always stay in the garage. they even look new... we'll see
