Default Engine Swap Problem

I'm installing a 93 Vette LT1 into my 75, it was going kind of smoothly until I tried the sepentine belt. The belt as it comes to the A/C hits the control arm rod. The control arm has 4 thick spacers to get it into alignment. I wonder if I replaced the control arms with the aluminum or heavy duty would this correct the rubbing?

that's what I did....then I used spacers under the A/C compressor mounting points to remove the belt slack caused by the smaller idler pulley.
