Default Headlight Relay Bypass

I'm building a budget friendly 78 and was interested in knowing if anyone has ever bypassed one of the Headlight relay's (that seem to be made of unobtanium $134 each) One works well.

If I connect the hoses together in theory the one relay should operate both?

I would guess that using one rely for both would make both headlights operate very slowly.

Maybe someone who has actually tried it might verify this.

That sounds like it would work. Sure they may come up slow, so once they're up that's all you need. Not sure if spring tensions would have to be modified or not. Worth a shot until another one can be had.

It should work-
Some earlier 69's (like mine) only have the 1 relay. They switched to two later on.
