Default MAP sensor

How do you know if your MAP sensor (82) has gone south? What symptoms would I see?

Do you have a check engine light on and if so what is the code?

The MAP sensor is one of the basic inputs that allows the car to know how much fuel to spew. It is to an ECM what the vacuum signal is on a carburetor - in fact, it's the exact same input. One relies on physics (the carb) and the other relies on math to determine fueling.

You'd have poor performance, rough idle, potentially lost fuel econ etc.
