My 69 resto mod conv possible sale
My cousin may sell his vette after owing it for over 30 years, so my car may be up for sale in order to buy his.
My car is a 69 resto mod conv, torch red with a built 454, msd box, holley electric fuel pump, tko 600 5 speed, 3.73 rear, chrome hooker headers/side pipes with sweet thunder inserts, 17" American racing wheels, vb&p performance adjustable suspension, rack attack steering, L88 long style hood, tilt/tele steering column and Katskin leather seats. Just installed a chris straub custom ground cam and holley 770 ultra street avenger carb.
Car was restored in 2008 and paint was taken down to bare fiberglass.
Paint is still excellent as is the interior and top. Things that don't work:
Odometer, reverse lights and dash lights. All gauges, headlights and wipers work great.
Taking thoughts/ opinions on the value

Sounds turn key to me. Big block too? Nice. I am far from an expert, but $25-30k???
I see people asking 35-40k for 68-69 verts, but they are all orig and low mileage cars, but seem to sit on the "For Sale" listings for quite a while.

How much do you have in that already? There is another thread here http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c3-t...questions.html that I'll bet you're watching.
It's definitely a car I would prefer over a $40K 2013 Camaro SS! Maybe I could lease it from you

Thanks Gordon for the kind words as you have seen the car from top to bottom. My cousin dropped this bombshell on me over the weekend that he wants to buy a new Vette conv. and sell his car only to me to keep it in the family. If he would have done this 3 years ago it would have saved me a lot of time looking for the right car.

His 69 conv 427 conv was featured in corvette magazine in 1974, it has one of those custom paint jobs from the 70s although it is shot now. When you see the car you have no idea what year it has many custom features.

Beautiful!
There is no way I could sell that car if it were mine!
You did a great job building it!
I would look for a storage solution, LIFT possibly and try to keep it...seriously!
