Default 68 Rally wheels

I have a set (2) of AG rally wheels with no dates. I have heard that early AG's have no dates. Is this true?

Hi Don,
While it's the wheel assembly date that we generally refer to, there was also some stamps that can only be seen with the tire off the wheel.
The stamping indicates the wheel specification and a letter for the month and number for the day the wheel center disc was produced in the stamping machine
Do you see anything that might verify that what you have is an early wheel?
Regards,
Alan

Alan, the rims are off the wheel and there are no markings on the inner surface either. The only mark is the AG on the outer rim. I have other Rallys ( some FW's ) which have the typical K-1-7 for example with the month and year but these have nothing and I thought I years ago someone told me the very early AG wheels ( 68 only) did not have dates and was wondering if someone could verify that. BTW, thanks for the quick response!

I have a 1968 roadster, early November 67 build and the same as you only AG on the outer rim.

That is correct. Early (before late November, 1967) AG wheels weren't date stamped.

'68 Corvette rims are 7" wide. All other C3 years had 8" wide rims. If they are Rally wheel design with 7" width and the correct back spacing, they MUST be '68 Corvette rims or aftermarket replacements for them.
