Default Best Spark Plugs for '69 Vette

I’m going to replace the plugs in my ’69 350/350. What are the advantages of the RapidFire ACDelco plugs over the R43 ACDelco plugs? The RapidFire plugs are about 18 dollars more than the R43 plugs.

I'm sure you'll get lots of opinions on this one. I've been using AC R44T in my '72 for 40 years now, and have no complaints. They're probably the cheapest ones I could get and they work just fine.

The advantage is to the shareholders of AC Delco. They're 18 dollars wealthier.

There is no advantage to the Rapid Fire plugs. In any event, a 43 heat range is too cold for your car. Run an AC R 45

A few years ago, I put in a new set of R43TS plugs into my 882's. Did a minor tune and set the idle at 1000. I then removed the plugs and put in a new set of Rapidfire #2. The idle increased ~50 rpm and ran smoother. Same heat range for both plugs afaik. Same gap. Just sayin'.

Fancy plugs are for bench racers...use the resistor R-45S and gap them .035
