Default 1980 electrical demons

Hi. I'm new here so please bear with me. I'm currently redoing my 76 corvette. I know 1980 in the title. that's because the only things I've found to be 1976 on this is the gas tank and the vin #. the front half is 1980-1982 and the rear is 1970-1973 convertible. I'm in the process of redoing the interior and have made it to the power locks and have found the switches and pigtails are toast. Now the problem is that when I put power to the pigtail from a different source ( lighter or any other source the horn goes off until I either disconnect source or pull ctsy-clk fuse. the actuators work fine under a separate source as well. My question is. Is the so called anti-theft circuit tied in to the door locks and if so what does it look like and can it just be disconnected and the locks and anything else would still work. Thanks to any and all that can help out here...
