Default 1973 rear bumper not metal but 1974 style?

I'm going to look @ a 1973 Vette tomorrow it is suppose to have the standard front chrome bumper but a 1974 style rear bumper. The seller states the serial # puts it in the last 150 Vettes produced in 1973! Has anyone heard of this happening? Comments please.

A '73 should have a rubber bumper on the FRONT, and chrome bumpers in back. The seller is blowing smoke. RUN!

Hmm. Smells like fish. Maybe rotten, maybe not. If the seller is not the owner, he probably has no idea what he's talking about. '73 is rubber ducky front like '74 and chrome rear like '72. Last 150 of production run doesn't mean anything value-wise. Take a look, but take your black book along.

Also check the trim tag located on the driver's door jamb beneath the windshield pillar. It will reveal the car's production date. A=Sept, B=Oct, etc. and then the date. So a number looking like L25 would be Aug25, at or very near the end of the production run for that year. Hope that helps identify what you're looking at.
