Default Is this Normal? 1969 SB rear bearing seal cap

Installing new rear 2 pc oil seal. When I removed the bearing cap the copper bushing on the front of the cap has 2 divits also on the inner portion.

Thanks! The Cap

Funny...
The p.6-41 1966 Service Manual small V8 says 7/16-14 Main Bearing Cap: 80 ft-lbs.

The Specifications p.9 1970 Service Manual small V8 7/16-14 Main Bearing Cap: 75 lb.ft. w/outer bolts on 4 bolt mains 65.

Hmmm.
