Default Water in the Tank!

This all started when some debris got trapped arnound my 74 gas cap.
The dirt built up and the water got in!

Fast forward to now. I cleaned out the tank and left it to dry. Drained the Demon 650vs and left it to dry out. Put in a few bottles of 91% alcahol and fresh gas in the tank.
I pumped the fuel system and let a gallon flow through.
Got a fresh filter, looks good.

Now the problem is the carb will not squirt? wtf
Something about Priming the carb?
The bowls are full, metering plates should be right.
Any thoughts.

TIA

many guys have water in the tank

concerning your Demon: it should squirt after several attemps.
If not you may have to disassemble it. Maybe the rubber in the pump didn´t like the alcohol. But theses parts are cheap.

Rubber in the carb swelled when alcohol was put in it. You'll have to replace those parts.

When you dried out the carb ( I assume on the car) the diaphragm probably cracked. Pull the accel pump and inspect the diaphragm. if it check out ok the check ball is probably stuck against its seat, not allowing fuel into the accel pump circuit.

The squirters have a little rubber diafram. They go bad from time to time. I've had them get little tears and quit working
