The parking brake shoe guide plate is missing and I need to pull the park brake anchor. I need the spindle to come out about 1 inch. Any easy way? thanks in advance

Pulling the spindle out any amount is a huge freaking deal, can you describe the problem a little more detailed? Pics help

NO. Not correctly that is.

This is a can of worms...ESPECIALLY if you do not have the CORRECT tools to do this type of work. Rear wheel bearings that is.

I do not do it this way..because I rebuild trailing arms and rear wheel bearings...but I have come across some trailing arm assemblies where they cut this mount plate and tack welded/brazed it back once it was installed.

If everything else is fine, leave it alone, split one side of the plate and work it over the bolt, weld, braze, bubblegum it back together.

either pull the axle spindle, .... a ton of work.
or slot the guide, loosen the bolt, slip in the guide - tighten bolt...Done.
