Default horn

I have an 80 vette. When I bought it the horn did not work. The horn itself works, I test that. I took horn button and contact out and pin was missing. I checked relay and it was missing,so I replaced it. Now when I touch the turn signal the horn sounds. Anybody know whats up with this?

the pin was missing because a previous owner had that problem and "fixed" it by removing the pin. Sounds like something is broken in the switch and would have to be checked.

To fix my horn, I
1) searched every thread I could find (a couple are now authored by me!)
2) looked at wiring and steering columns in catalogs and the A.I.M.
3) read all of Jim Shea's materials--especially this one:
http://jimshea.corvettefaq.com/wp-co...osis13JN06.doc

This gave me an understanding of how the horn circuit worked and made it easier to fix in the long run. This was a big help when I ended up going through the whole system to get it working again, since there was more than one issue to deal with.
